Fr. Mc Manus on Loughinisland Massacre Report

CAPITOL HILL. Monday, June 13, 2016— The Report of Police Ombudsman Michael Maguire  on the massacre of six men at the Heights Bar in Loughinisland in 1994 is further indictment of the British Government and the police  of that time. It proves—once again—the serious collusion with Protestant/Unionist murder gangs, and how the British Defense Ministry helped in supplying the weapons for the massacre of Catholics.

In 2014, the Irish National Caucus was proud to host in Washington the Loughinisland  families of the victims, with their dogged attorney, Niall Murphy. While welcoming the Report and the degree of justice it has brought to the families, it is ,however, bittersweet because it has come too late for some who would have most valued it.

The Irish National Caucus has been briefing Members of Congress for over 40 years about the systematic, institutionalized policy of collusion. It is sad to think that it has taken so long for the truth to finally out.

Also, the Irish National Caucus met in Washington with relatives of the Kingmills Massacre. And it now appears the British and the police colluded in the killing of the ten Protestant victims.
