CAUCUS AND HILLARY SOLIDARITY WITH MC CORD

From  May 3 to May 15, 2009, the Irish National Caucus brought Raymond Mc Cord, Sr. to Washington, D.C., and escorted him around Congress to tell his story. A story about how the British government colluded in and covered up the 1997 brutal murder of his son, Raymond, Jr.

This was not just another one of the many Catholic victims of state-sponsored terrorism whom I was taking around Congress. Raymond McCord is a Belfast Protestant, as was his  21-year-old  murdered son, who had proudly worn the uniform of Her Majesty’s Royal Air Force.

We helped Raymond to secure a Congressional Hearing on his son’s state-sponsored assassination and brought him back for that Hearing on October 22, 2009.

Since that time, the Irish National Caucus has championed Raymond’s cause—and so has Hillary Clinton. Hillary, as Secretary of State, sent—  care of me— the following letter to Raymond. And below that, please see Hillary’s letter, when she was a U.S. Senator signing up as a “Congressional Friend of the Irish National Caucus.”
