Congratulations to Hume and Trimble Nobel Prize Cements Peace Process

Washington, D.C., October 16, 1998 -- The President of the Capitol Hill-based Irish National Caucus has welcomed the Nobel Peace Prize going to Northern Ireland leaders.           "I congratulate John Hume and David Trimble," said Fr. Sean McManus, Caucus President.  "This prize not only awards John and David but it also powerfully validates the peace-process itself and pays tribute to all involved in it.  This awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize marks a point from which there can be no going back," Fr. McManus concluded.
