Fr. McManus on the Cease-Fire

Washington, D.C., July 20, 1997 -- Fr. Sean McManus, President of the Capitol Hill-based Irish National Caucus, said, "I can not think of a better response than to paraphrase the late great Dr. Martin Luther King, 'A cease-fire at last!  A cease-fire at last!  Thank God Almighty, we have a cease-fire at last!'  And thanks to John Hume, Gerry Adams, Martin McGuinness, Taoiseach Bertie Ahern, and all involved in the process."
