The group took to Facebook claiming that the images on the front of a Scottish newspaper were part of a “baseless agenda to attack.”

Images showing the shocking outfits worn by men, women, and children were shared on social media before they were used on the front page of today’s Sunday Herald.
Perhaps most damning is the image of a man dressed as Hitler.
Now bosses in the Lodge have accused the newspapers of pursuing a “baseless agenda to attack and demonize our Protestant Culture and Heritage” in a post on their Facebook page.
However, they have not used the post to condemn the wearing of such costumes.
The snaps featured in the paper date back as far as 2010, and the Order say that “The Herald prefer to produce skewed and at times completely false coverage of the Orange Order.”
The statement read: “The Grand Orange Lodge of Scotland is disappointed to note that the Sunday Herald have chosen not to cover any of the attacks carried out recently on Orange premises.
“Unfortunately this is not the first time the Herald has failed to treat The Grand Orange Lodge of Scotland and its members in an equivalent manner to how it has treated others. The Herald prefer to produce skewed and at times completely false coverage of the Orange Order.
The continued: “The Grand Orange Lodge of Scotland does not seek immunity from media criticism, but surely the Herald has a duty to be impartial or even handed.
“The Grand Lodge executive and learned counsel are currently in the process of examining recent articles to see if there have been breaches of IPSO guidelines.
“We understand that the press has a role to play, but there is a difference between holding to account and pursuing a baseless agenda to attack and demonize our Protestant Culture & Heritage.”
