Fr. Mc MANUS Heads to South Korea

Will be sworn in as Peace Judge, and Barbara Flaherty as Peace Ambassador
CAPITOL HILL. Friday, October 11, 2013 — The President ofthe Capitol Hill-based Irish National Caucus (INC) travels on Saturday, October 19 to Seoul, South Korea, for the ” swearing in “ceremony.
Fr. Sean Mc Manus will be sworn in as a Judge on the World Peace Prize Awarding Council (WPPAC);while INC Executive Vice President, Barbara J. Flaherty , will be sworn in as Roving Ambassador for Peace.
” This is a great honor for the Irish National Caucus and for both Barbara and me,” said Fr. Mc Manus. ” I am deeply grateful to Reverend Dr. Han Min Su, the Seoul-based leader of this splendid World Peace mission .I am also honored to serve under Chief Judge, former Congressman Lester Wolff, whom I am privileged to have known for forty one years.”
Barbara Flaherty said: “I am grateful for the opportunity to work with Dr. Han in his outstanding effort to spread the Gospel of World Peace.”
In its Mission Statement, the WPPAC states:
“World Peace Prize is an initiative to promote world peace and inter-religious understanding. It is awarded periodically to individuals who have contributed to the causes of world peace by preventing regional conflicts or world war; by settling the disputes of political, diplomatic and economic matters; by developing new inventions to minimize threats and confusions within mankind…”
The World Peace Prize is a prestigious award presented by the World Peace Corps Mission, an international Evangelical missionary organization. It was established in 1989 by the late former Congressman Robert L. Leggett (D-CA) and Reverend Dr. Han Min Su.
